Losika Writes News — African author
It always seems impossible until it is done -Nelson Mandela- I just watched the new season of #youcantaskthat tonight on the ABC which interviewed people of African backgrounds and got them to address stereotypical questions on being African such as - Did you grow up in a hut? Do African men have big appendages? Do Africans just drive taxis🚕? Is it okay for people to randomly touch your hair/skin? The show had a wide selection of people from different ethnic backgrounds and ages in different parts of Australia with different life experiences which was awesome 👏🏽👏🏽. Their answers, demeanour etc...
And if you ask "What if I FALL?" Oh but my darling, "What if you FLY?" Erin Hanson It's a crutch of mine to always think of ALL that can go wrong in everything I do🤯🤪. This over analysis and contingency planning can lead to fear of taking the next steps 👣👣. I am however, learning to trust that I can always learn from my supposed failures but to still embrace and open myself to opportunities that come my way. I got my spacesuit👨🏽🚀 ready and I sure am ready for blast off 🚀🚀. Happy new month 😊😘 .
A candle loses nothing by lighting another -James Keller- I had a beautiful autumn day meeting and mingling with many awesome chocolate people at @africaday_australia youth event. Public speaking is a craft I am trying to hone 🙈 and I think I went well today 😜🤞🏽. I learned a lot from everyone who was there and it's amazing what we can create by working collaboratively with our fellow chocolate people. As the African proverb goes, "one head does not contain all the wisdom"🤯 and I am thankful that people were willing to share their collective wisdom. Until next time... 😘😊
Excited to have Losika Writes invited to celebrate Victoria Youth Week with @AfricaDayAustralia this coming Saturday 13th April 2019. I am clearly hanging on by a thread to the "youth" definition 🤣😂🤣🙈 but eagerly counting down to the event. Register for the FREE event via Facebook or eventbrite and 🤞🏽 we see you there 😊😜.
